Dementia risk linked to wildfire pollution, which is itself increasing due to climate change

Wildfires are increasing through factors due to climate change. This new study looked at people exposed to wildfire pollution (including VOCs amid total fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and identified that they have an 18 percent higher risk of developing any type of dementia after just three years' exposure, with stronger associations observed in potentially vulnerable subgroups.
