Below are some of the most common questions we receive from our customers, if your question isn't here please email hello@whatsinmy.world and we will be happy to help.

Orders and Shipping

  • In your test kit, you should find:

    • AIR: a pump, connector tube and metal collection tube with 2 metal stoppers

    • WATER: a collecting pot and lid

    • Both: written instructions, personalised label, pre-paid mail order envelope, service feedback card

    If anything is missing, please contact hello@whatsinmy.world quoting your customer number and sample number(s).

  • If you haven’t received your sample test kit within 10 days of placing your order, please contact us at hello@whatsinmy.world. We aim to despatch all orders within 24-48 hours of their being placed via this website.

  • Once the order has been received, and is being processed, it is not possible to change the shipping address as the sample will be despatched within 24-48 hours.

  • We can only receive orders through the payment system on this website, unless you are interested in commissioning specific targeted tests, in which case, please contact hello@whatsinmy.world with details of your project, and to receive a quotation.

  • Once your sample has arrived at our laboratory, you will receive a confirmation email and personalised code for that sample.

  • For any orders going to destinations outside of the UK, please contact hello@whatismy.world for a shipping quotation for your destination – we’d be happy to help.

  • Our testing equipment is high quality laboratory equipment. We send it out to you for the purposes of taking the most accurate, reliable and validated results, with environmentally sustainable packaging.

    We keep samples for up to 14 days once tested, then for environmental and sustainability purposes re-use our AIR test equipment (pumps and tubes).

    The WATER test sampling bottle is single-use only due to the chemical processes involved.

Testing

  • Please note this is a test for organic matter and its reactive compounds in your everyday world.  We do not test for radon, metals and other non-organic matter.

  • If there is a specific compound that you are looking to identify, we can run a targeted experiment through the GCxGC machine, plus appropriate chemical analysis.  Please email hello@whatsinmy.world with your request, and we will get back to you with a quotation for the work.

Results

  • Your results will be emailed through to you as soon as they are ready (within 10 working days).

    Please note that we keep samples for 14 days after their testing.

  • You will receive a personalised report with a list of all the chemicals found in your sample, with the chemical found in the highest concentration ranked highest.  You will also see that the chemicals which have strong evidence to have health and environmental impacts on human and animal health have coloured categories next to them detailing health impacts from anxiety & depression to endocrinal disruptors.
